Hi, I’m Jum. My clinical journey began in community-based mental health, where I worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioral challenges, and difficult life circumstances. Those experiences strengthened my belief that meaningful therapy begins with seeing the whole person, not simply a diagnosis or a problem to be solved.
My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in humanistic and person-centered principles. My graduate training in counseling and art therapy also shaped the way I think about healing and self-expression. As a Resident in Counseling and ATR-P, I integrate talk therapy with art therapy and creative expression when it feels meaningful and appropriate. You don’t have to be “good at art.” Sometimes creating can help us explore experiences and emotions that are difficult to put into words.
Having lived across cultures and navigated major life transitions myself, I’m especially drawn to questions of identity, belonging, connection, and what it means to feel at home within ourselves. I welcome people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and I believe you bring your own strengths, wisdom, and capacity for growth into the therapeutic relationship.
My hope is to create a space where you can feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted while reconnecting with yourself, recognizing your strengths, and discovering what matters most to you. Therapy can be about more than getting through difficult times. It can also be about learning to thrive and creating a life that feels authentically yours.
